Lundy Farm – Wawarsing, NY
For their wedding, Josie and Jackson wanted a laid-back day, celebrating with their closest friends and family (and me!). The venue they chose, Lundy Farm, is a sprawling private estate nestled in a state forest. Located down a dirt road, with no neighbors for what seems like miles, it was the perfect setting for an intimate, cozy wedding weekend.
The day started with everyone getting ready in the main house. The large rooms and plentiful natural light were a welcome break from shooting in cramped hotel rooms. After a very sweet first look, we took advantage of the beautiful grounds for their portraits.
The brief ceremony officiated by a friend, included personal vows (and maybe a tear or two). Afterwards, everyone made their way to the front lawn for cocktail hour, and then a farm-to-table dinner and a little impromptu dancing. The day concluded perfectly with a bonfire and smore’s under the stars.
