Meet Hillary C.

Hillary Caltagirone

👍 👍👍👍
Spicy food, traveling, open minds, Ernest Hemingway, French whites, Italian reds, live music, manners, falling asleep to the sound of rain, croissants, kindness, the ocean, that first cool day at the beginning of fall, animals 😍.

👎👎👎👎
Pollen, consumerism, stress, mansplaining, not recycling, humidity, table pictures, entitlement, the rest of winter after the holidays are over, gin 🤢, being late, disappointing produce (I’m looking at you mango).

Hi there! I’m Hillary Caltagirone, a hopeless romantic and sometimes introvert with a passion for visual story telling. Photography has been my path pretty much forever. Seriously, I haven’t been without a camera since boy bands roamed North America. An early interest in people watching and an appreciation for human connections put me on the path to photographerville and I never looked back.

If you’re looking for thoughtful, expressive, joyful images that celebrate who you are as a couple, you’ve come to the right place. My style toes the line between photojournalism and editorial, because I think reality looks best through rose colored glasses.

Why weddings? There’s something beautiful and universal about two people finding their forever love in this great, big world. I met my husband in a fluke encounter on a delayed subway and married him 6 months later, so I 100% believe in fate. Plus, there's something about witnessing a couple make the commitment to be there for each other through all of life’s ups and downs that always makes me smile.

When I’m not busy preserving memories, you can find me stress cooking, or walking briskly around my neighborhood hoping to meet other people’s dogs. I try to travel as much as possible. Whether it’s to another state or another continent, I always find experiencing new surroundings both inspiring and humbling. I love to read, and will always choose a book over TV. Also, everything is better with cheese.

Lightning round: Ever since I was a kid, people have had the irresistible urge to call me “Miss Hillary” 🤷‍♀️ I’m a huge fan of lists; my second favorite part of a wedding is the cake (the first is when you exchange your vows, bonus points if you wrote them too); ironically, I can cook anything but can’t bake to save my life; if I could be an animal, I’d want to be a bear so I could just sleep straight through winter.
