The first studio I worked for photographed dozens of bar and bat mitzvahs every year. While an unfamiliar ritual at first, I grew to appreciate the blending of ancient traditions and their modern interpretations. The pride and happiness experienced by parents and grandparents, coupled with the anticipation and excitement of the bar/bat mitzvah child make for some of the most joyous and emotional events I document. I want to portray this special day for you and your child in a sincere and authentic way. Unscripted and informal, I try to capture the milestone in a way as unique as it’s participants.
